Lonestar Dance is dedicated to bringing quality, competitive
dancing with a perfect blend of fun and entertainment to the
North Austin area at a reasonable cost. Lonestar Dance provides
a communal place for learning and bettering its students in
their skills. We offer private and group classes for all levels
and a variety of types of dance. Lonestar Dance offers classes
in styles including tap, jazz, ballet, clogging, lyrical, hip-hop,
technique and cardio fitness. We have classes for various age
groups from children to adults. In having several options, we
will better serve and satisfy our customer's needs regarding
both entertainment and fitness goals.

 Group
Classes
|
Group
classes are arranged according level of dance
ability. They will all begin with an extensive
stretch, across the floor warm-up, and finish
with the teaching of a class-appropriate routine.
The fall semester will be devoted to new skills
and style development, while the majority of
the spring will be devoted to competition learning
and routine perfection to be concluded with
a recital performance in most cases. Classes
for ages 3 to 8 will be offered in combination
of ballet and tap with the option for jazz according
to ability in both one and 1½ hour increments.
In addition, specialty classes will be offered
for ages 9 and up based on ability and availability
of instruction; they will vary from 45 minutes
to an hour of instruction. Classes will be offered
at every level, from basic beginner through
advanced. Recital is an optional performance
opportunity for all dance programs at the end
of the year. |

Preschool
Dance Programs
|
Preschool
dance programs are hour to 1½ combination curriculum
of introductory levels of dance that include
ballet, tap, and jazz. Children learn the basics
of dance as they begin to build a basis in our
programs. Our teachers cater to the special
needs of younger children learning. |

Elementary
Dance Programs
|
Elementary
dance programs are 45-minute to hour-long classes
ranging from beginner to intermediate levels
of dance that include ballet, tap, jazz, hip
hop, lyrical, clogging, technique and the Lonestar
Dance competitive performance groups. |

Lonestar
Dance Programs
|
Lonestar
dance programs include hour long classes in
ballet, jazz, hip hop, clogging, lyrical, dance/drill
team training, basic cheerleading, and fitness
classes ages 8 and up. These dancers can specify
their focus more easily by choosing the classes
for which they feel better suited. This can
help them to set and achieve specific goals.
They are also eligible to take master classes
outside of their set curriculum. |

Advanced
Lonestar Dance Programs

Our
advanced dance programs are 45 minute to one
hour long classes which include ballet, tap,
jazz, lyrical, hip hop, cardio fitness, master
classes and the Lonestar Competition Team. The
Lonestar Competition team will be selected during
the fall. More information will be posted in
the studio regarding auditions. |

Adult
Dance and Fitness Programs
|
Adult
dance and fitness classes are hour long classes
of cardio fit and hip hop. These classes can
be purchased by ticket and do not require monthly
tuition fees. These classes will however not
perform unless specified in the end of the year
recital. |

Private
Lessons
|
Private
Lessons offer students a great value for their
investment. With a private lesson, the students
will work one-on-one with an instructor, receiving
personalized instruction and immediate correction.
In learning one-on-one, both beginning and advanced
students will find they progress faster and
more easily, as the instructor can cater the
teaching techniques to the student. |

Choreography
and Technique Classes
|
Choreography
and technique classes will be available to dance
and drill teams within the community on a contractual
basis. All choreography will include instruction
of a routine with two to three follow-up visits
for purposes of cleaning, changing, and perfecting.

|
Strength Training
|
This class is intended to better our company
members. Company members are required to
attend this class at least once weekly. It
is our belief that this strength conditioning
will improve dancer’s technique and performance
by improving coordination with and among the
muscles. We will work to strengthen the core of
the dancers thus improving coordination,
balance, flexibility and alignment. In order to
benefit fully from their classroom training, the
dancers must physically train at regular
intervals. We are working to develop well
rounded dancers and to prevent injury through
strength training and isolated stretching.
Required Personal Equipment:
- One set of Latex stretch bands (includes 3
bands of various strengths)
